Fresh off her COVID-safe West Coast tour, up-and-coming singer / songwriter Heather Whitty just released her newest single “We’ll Get There”. This quick track is especially relatable in our pandemic environment. Themes of distance and longing for your partner make their way into this short but sweet song. The mesmerizing guitar melody echoes throughout the song accompanied by a warm drum rhythm. Heather’s voice gracefully floats over the instruments, which allows her to emphasize the lyrics and themes. Says Heather, “The lyrics speak about love, distance, and the bittersweetness of some choices.”
Though a more acoustic sound, Heather executes it perfectly. She received help from Platinum award garnishing producer Jim Greer, who mixed and mastered this one. In addition, this track was produced alongside upcoming Eugene artist Will Gagnon (drums), Luke Broadbent (co-writer / guitarist), and Nathan Sloan (co-writer). This is only the beginning for Heather, as she shows no signs of slowing down.
